Festival Food
6 July 2012
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is looking forward to its annual cricket festival which is set in the stunning grounds of Cheltenham College.
The Club will once again be returning to the College Ground for this year’s Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival. This is the world’s longest running cricket festival which has been showcasing a variety of matches against many different opponents since 1830. This season is no exception as the Club will be playing from Wednesday 11 to Sunday 22 July, hosting 2 four-day LV= County Championship matches and three one-day Clydesdale Bank 40 over competition matches.
Hospitality options this year include The Food Village which will be located in front of the main College building. Patrons can enjoy a covered seating area where they can order a full meal or snack. Options include:
* Scampi and chips
* Fish and chips
* Aberdeen Angus burger
* Chicken and chips, variety of sausages
* Hog Roast with salad bar (and other roast options)
* BBQ with salad bar
* Waffles
* Ice Creams
* Teas, Coffees and Soft Drinks
Paulo and Anna will once again be serving delicious ice creams from their two vans in the ground.
Next to the Food Village is a large licensed bar unit offering Marstons Pedigree, Thatchers Cider, lagers, wines and soft drinks. There is another bar unit at the other end of the ground to the side of the Pavilion, adjacent to the Members’ area.
THE GOLDEN HEART INN
We are delighted to welcome “The Golden Heart Inn” of Birdlip. The Golden Heart is an award winning inn which has been owned and run by David Morgan and Catherine Stevens for many years. The Golden Heart will take up residence in the large corner marquee on the site occupied last year by the Montpellier Wine Bar. David and Catherine will be offering a traditional pub atmosphere serving real ales and a wide selection of food options. These range from snacks, to more formal lunches or the opportunity to book a table for the entire day with a package including bacon rolls on arrival, extensive buffet lunch and afternoon tea.
