Family Quiz & Trail!

28 May 2013

This half term the gates at The Bristol Ground at Gloucestershire County Cricket club are being thrown open for families in Bristol and Gloucestershire to enjoy a free Quiz and Trail.

It’s a chance to entertain the kids for free during the holidays and to enjoy The Bristol County Ground while there isn’t a game on.

The Quiz and Trail is interactive so will be emailed out the day before the event. It should last about an hour and will take visitors round the ground, discovering the answers to the quiz and give a unique chance to feel like a professional cricketer by walking out onto the grass.

Everyone who enters will get a goody bag. The quizzes will be marked and if there’s a tie we’ll put the top scoring entries into a draw to win a cricket bat signed by the team along with a Personal Training session at BS7 gym for a parent.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the ground and what’s really exciting is it’ll give the community a chance to see how our new Pavilion is taking shape.” Roz Hutchings who’s organising the event told us.

“The Bristol Pavilion is on schedule to be completed in August, which will transform our facilities at the ground and make it a great place the whole community can use.”

If you’re stuck with what to get Dad for Father’s Day on 16th June there’ll be an exclusive chance to take advantage of the early bird price on a family ticket for the Yorkshire Bank 40 match against Yorkshire. During the YB40 game on 16th June, the winner of the quiz will be given their prize of a signed cricket bat and the personal training session for a parent at BS7 gym.

There’ll also be a 10% discount on Glos Cricket merchandise in the shop for one day only.

The Hammond Café will be open throughout the duration of the trail for drinks and snacks plus the ice cream van will be on hand.

To enter email quizandtrail@glosccc.co.uk by 5pm on Monday 27th May. The quiz will be emailed out at 4pm on Tuesday 28th May.
