Experienced squad named for Somerset friendly - inc result

Day 1 scorecard - Somerset 268 all out, Gloucestershire 16 - 0. 

Head Coach Richard Dawson has named an experience squad for Gloucestershire’s second pre season friendly of 2017.

A squad including four day captain Gareth Roderick, Chris Dent and Phil Mustard travel to Taunton to take on local rivals Somerset in a three day friendly.

Gloucestershire began their pre-season campaign with a comfortable win against Oxford MCCU at The Parks on Thursday, but will expect a tougher test against local rivals Somerset, with the match beginning on Sunday 19th.

Gloucestershire squad:

Chris Dent, Will Tavare, Gareth Reoderick, Graeme van Buuren, George Hankins, Phil Mustard, Jack Taylor, Benny Howell, Craig Miles, David Payne, Matt Taylor, Chris Liddle, Ollie Curill.

The match begins at 11am and entry is free.

The first match of 2017 at The Brightside Ground, Bristol will see Gloucestershire take on Durham MCCU in a three day match, which begins on Tuesday 28 March.
