Experience the taste of summer at Glos this season with 6 O'clock Gin
13 April 2022
Experience the taste of summer at Gloucestershire Cricket this season with the Club’s new official gin partner, 6 O’clock Gin.
The Bristol-based distillery has become the latest West Country business to partner with the Club in the last couple of years, in an initial one-year-deal that will see the Seat Unique Stadium exclusively sell 6 O’clock Gin’s signature drinks throughout the venue.
The deal also means Glos fans and Members who visit The Shire’s home venue for Vitality Blast and international fixtures this season will get the chance to try out 6 O’clock Gin’s in-ground bar. The pop-up gin bar will feature the company’s most popular drinks and will offer visitors to the Seat Unique Stadium a brand new experience.
Neil Priscott, Deputy Chief Executive at Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’re a big supporter of local businesses at Gloucestershire and we’re delighted to welcome another Bristol-based partner in 6 O’clock Gin on board for the 2022 season.
“We’re also proud to provide a wide-ranging and interesting food and drink offering at the Seat Unique Stadium and having 6 O’clock Gin as our official gin partner, gives supporters and Members yet another fantastic drinks choice when visiting our bars.”
6 O’clock’ Gin will be sold at the Seat Unique Stadium for both match and non-match days, and will be available to purchase at all in-ground bars.
The family-run company was founded over 30 years ago when Edward and Penny Kain started making delicious fruit liqueurs and sold them with some considerable success. The first incarnation of the family’s London Dry gin recipe was created as a base for their delightfully piquant Sloe Gin and, some years later, Michael and Felicity took over their parents’ now prosperous distillery.
The brand is now widely sold across the UK and is known for its range of strikingly smooth artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and only the best natural ingredients.
Chris Reynolds, Account Manager at 6 O’clock Gin, said: “After the challenges of the past couple of years, myself and the wider 6 O’clock Gin team are thoroughly looking forward to what 2022 will bring. At the forefront of this is our hugely exciting partnership with Gloucestershire.
“The business has come a long way in recent years and seeing 6 O’clock Gin sold exclusively across the Seat Unique Stadium is a truly joyous sight! We can’t wait to meet lots of Glos fans at our 6 O’clock Gin pop-up bar over the course of the summer and we wish the team all the very best for the season.”
