CRICKET UNITES BEHIND CHARITY AUCTION
22 May 2020
Gloucestershire Cricket have joined all 18 first class counties in an online charity cricket auction in partnership with the ECB, PCA and MCC.
The Gloucestershire Auction item comprises:
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club Hospitality Experience; Hospitality for ten guests at a domestic Gloucestershire Cricket match at Bristol County Ground in 2021. This lot also includes a limited-edition, squad-signed 150th Anniversary Brochure (the only one in existence at present) and a squad-signed 150th anniversary playing kit.
All proceeds from this lot will be donated to Borderlands, which helps the disadvantaged and marginalised, focusing on asylum seekers, refugees and those with insecure immigration status, primarily within the Bristol area.
Signed shirts from England internationals Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Jack Leach are also amongst the lots in an online charity cricket auction supported by all professional Club's.
A catalogue of 62 lots are now open for bidding at cricketauction.co.uk where cricket fans can also secure international match hospitality experiences at Lord’s, Kia Oval, Trent Bridge, Edgbaston, Emerald Headingley and Emirates Old Trafford.
The auction forms part of the Together Through This Test campaign, cricket’s co-ordinated response to Covid-19 that seeks to highlight initiatives across the professional and amateur game.
All donors have nominated a charitable cause to receive the proceeds from their lots.
Gloucestershire Chief Executive, Will Brown said: "This week's 'Together Through This Test' campaign launch has demonstrated the united front that cricket has presented at this most difficult time. There is an incredible array of items to bid for and for our contribution, we are proud to be supporting Borderlands, our city-based charity partner for 2020. It is a tough time for all charitable causes and we think our unique package will be attractive to all supporters."
