County Championship Preview | Gloucestershire vs Glamorgan
28 June 2024
The Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival returns on Sunday and will get underway with a Vitality County Championship Division Two clash between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan.
Mark Alleyne’s will be looking to bounce back against the visiting Welsh side having succumbed to a comprehensive defeat against Yorkshire at Scarborough last week.
That defeat against Yorkshire leaves Gloucestershire in seventh place in the table on 92 points but only seven points off Yorkshire in third place. Sussex on 132 points and Middlesex on 124 points lead the way currently after eight games played.
Glamorgan, meanwhile, drew their last match against Northamptonshire and currently sit in fourth place in the table on 97 points. A win for either side at Cheltenham College could see them close the gap on the all-important top two promotion places.
