Cockbain, Taylor & Payne impress in 2nd XI Victory

Gloucestershire 2nd XI won by an innings and 63 runs against Yorkshire 2nd XI at the Bristol County Ground, with Ian Cockbain, Jack Taylor and David Payne (pictured) all impressing in the 3-day match.
Selected as Captain, Cockbain scored his 150 off 171 balls to stake his claim for a first team place ahead of the first home LV= County Championship match against Derbyshire this Sunday.
Jack Taylor was aggressive with the bat scoring 128 runs off 117 balls, whilst David Payne had impressive bowling figures of 6-32.
Other first team regulars such as Tom Smith, Matt Taylor and Benny Howell also featured in the match which finished early on the third and final day.
