Cayman Islands Department of Tourism become County Championship front of shirt sponsor
20 July 2020
Gloucestershire Cricket would like to welcome on board the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT), who have become the front of our County Championship shirt sponsor for the next two seasons.
The CIDOT logo will be front and centre of the Club’s special 150th Anniversary County Championship shirt as the Club gear up for the Bob Willis Trophy taking place in August and September.
A British Overseas Territory, the Cayman Islands is located in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and north west of Jamaica.
Comprising three islands, all offer something different from the barefoot elegance of Grand Cayman, to the adventurous spirit of Cayman Brac and the tranquillity of Little Cayman.
Well known for dining, world-class diving, beautiful beaches, tranquil turquoise seas and incredible wildlife, the Cayman Islands offers a memorable and luxurious experience for visitors of all ages and interests.
Visitors can watch the sun rise with the stingrays, explore spectacular coral reefs, relax in a beach hammock and eat at a five-star restaurant – all in one day.
Adrian White, Cayman Islands Department of Tourism UK & Europe Regional Manager commented: “We are delighted to be the first team shirt sponsor for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club’s County Championship matches for the next two seasons.
Cricket and the Caribbean go hand in hand and it’s fantastic to be in a position to support such an esteemed club as Gloucestershire, especially in their 150th year. As an island nation we know the importance of local communities, something which a team sport such as cricket helps to build and maintain.”
Neil Priscott, Gloucestershire Cricket Commercial Director added, “It’s fantastic to have the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism as our County Championship front of shirt sponsor. We are extremely excited to be working alongside them in what is a special period for the Club.
The Gloucestershire County Championship anniversary shirt looks terrific with their logo and we can’t wait to see the team wear it during the course of the County Championship season in a matter of weeks.”
