Bristol Audi announced as official vehicle supplier
18 February 2020
Gloucestershire Cricket is pleased to announce Bristol Audi as our Official Vehicle Supplier for the 2020 season.
As part of the exciting deal, the Bristol-based dealership will be providing branded vehicles from the Audi range to a number of Gloucestershire’s players.
To launch the partnership, Gloucestershire players Gareth Roderick, George Scott, Ryan Higgins and Matt Taylor received a guided tour of the Bristol Audi Centre at Cribbs Causeway led by Head of Business, Steve Smith and Business Development Manager, Russell Griffin.
The players took a look at the full range of models on offer, including the new fully electric Audi E-Tron and the high performance Audi R8 coupe.
All-rounder and 2019 Player of the Year, Ryan Higgins was also lucky enough to take the SQ7 model for a test drive, sampling the biturbo V8 engine.
Speaking on the visit to Bristol Audi, Higgins said: “It was a great experience visiting the Bristol Audi dealership, myself and the other lads really enjoyed looking around the latest models and it was particularly good fun testing out the SQ7.”
Steve Smith, head of business at Bristol Audi said: “The decision for us to partner with Gloucestershire was an easy one. After such a successful season with gaining promotion and going into their 150th year anniversary, we felt success and heritage of this scale really fitted with the quality, progression and heritage of the Audi brand.
Most Bristolians will know of how we at Bristol Audi like to champion and support our elite sporting clubs and could not overlook Gloucestershire cricket as one of our local elite. Speaking to the players and staff has really highlighted their passion and ambition for the area which really “Bowled” me over. I am sure we will continue this drive for success this summer and driving an Audi can only be good for morale”
Gloucestershire Cricket Chief Executive Will Brown said: “It is fantastic to have Bristol Audi join the Club as our Official New Vehicle Supplier and we are excited to establish a partnership with such a well-known organisation. It’s nice to know that our players are in good hands driving such high-quality cars while at the Club.”
