Beware Of Unicorn Lancefield

6 May 2013

Tom Lancefield, who scored a century for Gloucesetershire Second XI at The Oval this season, looks set to feature for the Unicorns against the county in today's Yorkshire Bank 40 match at Wormsley.

Both teams desperately need a win after being thrashed in their opening fixture in the competition, Gloucestershire by 115 runs against Leicestershire on Saturday and the Unicorns by eight wickets against Somerset at Taunton yesterday.

Lancefield showed his quality in that game by making 38 at the top of the order against Somerset's attack and the former Surrey player will be looking to impress again.

The Unicorns are captained by former Somerset all-rounder Keith Parsons and feature a number of other players with county experience.

The match at the picturesque Wormsley ground starts at 1.45pm.

The Gloucestershire team is: M.Klinger (capt), C.Dent, H.Marshall, A.Gidman, B.Howell, I.Cockbain, W.Gidman, G.Roderick (wkt), E.Young, D.Payne, G.McCarter.
