Gloucestershire’s rising star Ben Charlesworth showcased his talents once again for the Young Lions as England now look to take home the ICC Under 19 World Cup Plate without the opening batsman.
Charlesworth only featured in two matches but still showed his class making 36 off 54 balls against West Indies and top scoring against Australia with 82 off 100.
Despite the result, @ben_c64 showed his class once again today!

Only one of two Englishman to surpass 100 runs in the competition, Ben has done so in one less innings than England’s next highest scorer Dan Mousley of Warwickshire.
England will be unable to better their seventh-place finish in 2018 after defeats to West Indies and Australia saw them finish third in Group B, missing out on qualification to the main draw.
As a result, Charlesworth did not feature in the final group game against Nigeria. He will now focus his attention on preparing for the county season ahead. The England team will face Zimbabwe without Ben in the Plate semi-finals with Sri Lanka and Scotland involved in the other semi.
