Astra Security and Gloucestershire Cricket to continue partnership into 2023
18 January 2023
Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce Astra Security will continue as the Club’s Official Shirt Sleeve sponsor for the Talent Pathway Programme. The Shire’s boys County Age Groups playing shirt will feature the security company’s logo on the sleeve for a second year in 2023.
Bristol-based Astra will join Bristol Fire and Walker Logistics on the Pathway shirt, to be worn by exciting talent such as Tommy Boorman.
17-year-old Boorman was recently selected in the England u19 squad as they hosted Sri Lanka last summer. He spoke to Glos TV about his experience with the national youth side, his experience in the Gloucestershire Talent Pathway Programme and his expectations for the 2023 season:
Astra Security will also continue as the Activation Zone partner for the Club’s Vitality Blast (T20) and One Day Cup campaigns. The Activation Zone is filled with fun activities and games for children of all ages before and during the course of matches. Bristol and Cheltenham will both host Community Days in 2023 where Astra Security’s Activation Zones will ensure many children have days to remember.
Head of Partnerships at Gloucestershire Cricket, Joe Kaniecki said:
“We’ve loved partnering with Astra Security since 2020 and are delighted that this will continue into 2023.
“The Talent Pathway Programme continues to produce players for our first team thanks to the support from Astra, and the Activation Zone adds a huge amount to the matchday experience for all our supporters. ”
Paul Beet, Managing Director at Astra Security said,
“We’re so proud to be involved with the Talent Pathway Programme through this sponsorship deal, and we are looking forward to seeing the age groups in action once again in the new season. On top of that, we hope that the continuation of our Activation Zone Partnership will provide lots of fun to the many youngsters visiting the ground on match-day.
Supporting local communities, charities and grassroots sport is part of our ethos, and this partnership is included within a much wider programme of activity.”
