Alfred to take on Weston Half Marathon in support of local charity
7 March 2018
Gloucestershire's very own Alfred G Rilla will be taking part in the Weston-super-Mare Half Marathon on Sunday 18th March and will be supporting a very worthy charity. Alfred was due to take part in the Bath half marathon on Sunday 4th March, however, due to the snow and adverse weather conditions, the Marathon was cancelled.
Alfred, the 2016 and 2017 mascot race winner, will be running in support of Jessie May; a Bristol-based charity providing nursing care at home for children and young people with life limiting conditions who are not expected to live beyond the age of 19.
If you would like to support Alfred's fundraising towards Jessie May, a Just Giving page has been set up. Please click here to visit his donation page.
Since Jessie May was founded in 1996 the charity has supported over 300 children and their families in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath & North East Somerset, and Swindon & Wiltshire.
Any donations from Gloucestershire Cricket supporters and beyond are very much appreciated by everyone associated with the club!
