Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce our full fixture list for the 2024 season.

Dale Benkenstein’s side will begin the 2024 season in Division Two of the County Championship with ambitions of challenging for promotion back to Division One.

Shire will kick the season off with a block of seven County Championship fixtures, starting with a trip to face Derbyshire on the opening weekend of the season on Friday 5th April. Gloucestershire’s first home match will be on Friday 12th April when Yorkshire are the visitors.

Gloucestershire’s T20 Vitality Blast season will begin on Thursday 30th May with a home fixture against 2023 finalists Essex Eagles. After four home T20 matches in Bristol in May and June, T20 cricket will return to the Towergate Cheltenham Cricket Festival in July 2024 for the first time since 2021. In what promises to be a thrilling festival of cricket for 2024, Shire will face off against Kent Spitfires, Glamorgan and Middlesex in the Vitality Blast at the stunning Cheltenham College Grounds.

Commenting on the schedule for 2024, Head Coach at Gloucestershire, Dale Benkenstein, said: “It’s always great to get confirmation of our fixtures and in many ways this acts as the starting point for the season that’s to come. It’s exciting to be able to look forward with optimism to returning to playing matches in the spring, and work to get us ready for that has already begun in the early stages of pre-season training.

“It’s especially pleasing to see us have the chance to showcase our T20 game at Cheltenham. The players love every opportunity they get to play at the College and it’s great to have the variation of playing a range of formats at the festival year-on-year.

“We’re all looking forward to the start of the season with lots of hard work planned in the meantime to give us the best possible chance of getting off to a good start in the championship come April.”
