Commenting on today’s fixture announcements, Gloucestershire Chief Executive Will Brown said:
“2019 represents probably the busiest year of cricket in the Club’s recent history with an anticipated 54 days of cricket played across Bristol and Cheltenham. As well as the normal Specsavers County Championship, Royal London One Day Cup and Vitality T20 Blast tournaments we are set to host up to 8 International fixtures including 3 yet to be announced ICC Cricket World Cup warm-up fixtures at the end of May.
The addition of two one-day tourist matches seeing a Gloucestershire XI take on an Australia A side that will sure to be loaded before the full Ashes series should also provide a real highlight for our members and supporters.
Finally we are delighted once again to be hosting two Western Storm matches at Bristol. The “Storm” have been the stand-out team in the Kia Super League to date and having made 3 finals days in a row, we have high hopes they will be in serious contention for trophies again.”
